What is an interlibrary loan? 

Interlibrary loan is a service that allows Lakehead students, faculty and staff to borrow materials from other libraries, if they are not available at Lakehead. The process for requesting materials across Ontario University (Omni) Libraries has been recently improved and streamlined. Now, you can search for and request items from other Omni libraries directly through Omni. 

New! Request interlibrary loan materials from Omni

Omni, the library’s main academic search tool, should now be used to place all requests for interlibrary loan materials. To place a request for an interlibrary loan material in Omni: 

RACER

RACER was the system previously used to place requests for interlibrary loan. The RACER system is currently being phased out, and will not be accessible after May 15, 2023.
