Northern Studies Resource Centre Resized

The Canadian Federation of Library Associations (CFLA) formed a committee to look at the national Truth and Reconciliation 94 Calls to Action Report with a mandate to identify what the library community can do to support reconciliation. The report provided many recommendations that were helpful in developing the space and the report can be found here.

Nanda Gikendan Gamik is a space where everyone will feel welcome and respected. The collection is exceptionally strong in relation to Indigenous history, culture, and language and contains both primary and secondary resources. The collection contains print resources of a regional and northern focus as well as important collections in microfilm/microfiche formats. More information can be found here.

Nanda Gikendan Gamik is open to all Lakehead University students, staff, faculty, and interested members of the community.
