The Library offers a research consultation service for students, faculty and staff of the University. This is an in-depth, one-on-one meeting with a librarian to discuss possible information resources and search strategies for class assignments, papers, presentations, theses, and dissertations.

On the Orillia Campus, you can book a research consultation with Chris Tomasini

On the Thunder Bay Campus, or if you are an online student please book an appointment with Gisella Scalese.

What to expect from a research consultation?

You should already have a research topic for which you need assistance. During the consultation, you and the librarian will discuss your topic in-depth. The librarian will advise you on choosing appropriate research resources, using advanced searching techniques and developing search strategies. Document retrieval options appropriate for your specific research topic will also be discussed.

PLEASE NOTE: Research consultations are available Monday to Friday 9:00 am - 4:00 pm.
