The Archives consists of original materials relating to Lakehead University and its faculty, staff, and affiliated organizations. The Archives also has records documenting the history of Thunder Bay and Northwestern Ontario, several original manuscript collections, as well as several general historical records.
The Archives is located on the fifth floor of the Chancellor Paterson Library Building.
Archival material cannot be checked out, and you may only use it in the Northern Studies Resource Centre (NSRC).
You can obtain access to archival material by speaking to the staff in the NSRC in room LI 5007.
As the different collections (fonds) are processed their applicable finding aid will be available by clicking on the hot linked title of the fonds. Basic inventories for most of the material in the collections are available in the Northern Studies Resource Centre. The Lakehead University Library Archives is composed of four types of collections.
