Women's Studies

In our Department, you will learn about local and transnational systems that produce gendered structures from bodies through to nation-states; you will examine how the intersection of gender, race, class, ethnicity, sexuality, ability and age produce multiple lived experiences (a Core Competency if you want to work in the Ontario Public Sector); and you will have the opportunity to put theory into practice through student engagement, Department events, and activism. The Department's award-winning Faculty all have a strong Social Justice focus, and offer you the tools you need to succeed in your degree and in the job market.

The library has a Women's Studies Research Guide to help you get started with your research.
