WHO MAY BORROW

Upon presentation of current identification cards at the Circulation Desk, the following people may borrow books from The Chancellor Paterson Library:

  • all full-time and part-time Lakehead University students
  • faculty, staff, post-graduate and research workers from Lakehead University

After presenting identification cards and registering at the Circulation Desk, these people may also borrow library books:

  • Lakehead University Alumni
  • Confederation College students and faculty
  • faculty and students from other universities
  • senior high school students with a letter from the school's librarian
  • interested citizens in the community

BORROWING PERIOD

Books, including most government publications, may be borrowed for three weeks. The loan period at the Education Library and the Orillia Campus Library is one week. Renewals of these items are permitted unless they are requested by other users. A limit of five books on one subject is allowed per person. Periodicals are for use in the Library; however, faculty members and graduate students may borrow these for a limited period.

Overdue Fines - The fine for late books is 25¢ per day
